A house was attacked while police were inside - after residents had called 999 in fear for their safety.
Officers went to the property on Park Avenue, Roundhay, Leeds, at 7pm yesterday (Jan 28) after receiving reports that the occupants could be in danger.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “While police were at the address two loud bangs were heard which resulted in windows of the property being smashed.”
“It’s believed that two pieces of wood were used to smash the windows.”
He said there was no evidence to support rumours that a gun had been fired.
The three females and one male who were in the house were unhurt. Police said they were taken to a place of a safety after the incident.
A cordon was put up while investigations were carried out.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone with information should contact Stainbeck CID via 101.
