MATHS suddenly got a whole lot more interesting for around almost 7,000 school children from Yorkshire.

First of all, their morning lesson was not in the classroom but at the Elland Road statium - home of Leds United.

Not only that, their teacher was TV legend and the driving force behind Think Of A Number, Johnny Ball

And, on top of that, the whole event was closely monitored by experts from the Guinness Books of Records who will confirm later this week if the event was the biggest-ever live audience maths record - in the world.

Leeds midfielder Tom Lees and striker Matt Smith were among the volunteers called on stage to help the irrepresible Johnny Ball demonstrate how seemingly complicated mathematical problems can be solved in minutes.
