Police want to speak to this man

Detectives are still looking for a man who raped a woman in the disabled toilets at St James’s Hospital in Leeds.

Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to find after the incident in Gledhow Wing on Sunday, August 3, shortly after 10am.

Officers have given few details about the incident, but the 25-year-old victim is not thought to have been a patient or staff member.

The assault is not believed to have been a random attack.

The man detectives want to speak to is described as a heavily-tattooed Eastern European, aged in his mid 40s, with a receding hair line.

He was wearing a white-collared, shirt blue jeans, white trainers.

Detective Inspector John Dexter, of Leeds CID, asked anyone with information to call CID on 101.

A spokesman for the hospital said it would be inappropriate to comment as a criminal investigation was underway, but added that security staff were quick to alert police when it became clear what had happened.
