Leeds: Fashion show raises £2,000 for cancer charity
A fashion show held in Leeds has been hailed as a major success after it raised £2,000 for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Strictly Stylish , which took place on in February at the Aspire venue, featured slimmers from the LighterLife organisation who strutted their stuff to boost the fund-raising event.

Guest speakers included businesswoman Etta Cohen, founder of Forward Ladies, Sally Crerar, Head of Community Fundraising at Yorkshire Cancer Research, and Mark Hoban of TV series Last Man Standing compring the proceedings.

The evening was topped off with a dance display of tango and salsa organised by local expert Sharon King.
Event organiser, Melanie Ellyard, who runs slimming clubs in in Pudsey and Leeds city centre said: "Like so many others, my life has been affected by cancer. I lost my dad last year and I feel very touched at all the effort that the guests, celebrity speakers and all those involved in the organisation of this event have gone to.
