A group of people with learning disabilities have gone the extra mile to raise cash for a community farm in Africa.

More than 60 walkers from Leeds completed a 10k trek last month, raising more than £1,600 for the Africa’s Gift charity.

Councillor Adam Ogilvie, Leeds City Council’s executive member for adult social care, said: “This was a tremendous effort for a good cause as well as being a wonderful example of the great things people with learning disabilities can accomplish.”
