Leeds City Council election counters needed
Leeds City Council is looking for vote counters for the local authority elections on Thursday, May 6.
And with the announcement of a General Election imminent, around 550 people are expected to be needed to check and count votes.

Leeds City Council's elections manager Alex Meek said:"Many council staff will be helping out at the elections but members of the public are vital to the overall effort.

"This year we will need a significant number of counting assistants as we will be hosting both local and national elections."

Anyone over 18 can apply to be an election night vote counter. Fees will be paid.
The council is also recruiting extra people for other elections posts, including poll clerks to work at polling stations and postal vote opening clerks.
