Two Leeds City College hairdressing students proved they were a cut above after beating hundreds of people to work at salons at the Olympic Village.
Laurie Wing and Danielle Avery worked within the Athlete Village at the Olympic and Paralympic Games, meeting a host of celebrities including Prince Edward, Tony Blair, Jessica Ennis and Usain Bolt.
The pair won their places after entering a competition by Podium and had to describe in 50 words why they wanted to be salon juniors.
Laurie said: “It was amazing. I absolutely loved it.”
