A Leeds bar is asking customers to donate their unwanted shoes to help a local charity.

The Living Room is encouraging customers to donate their old shoes to raise money for Candlelighters.

All types and condition of shoes will be welcomed and donated shoes will be recycled to raise cash for Candlelighters - Fighting Children’s Cancer in Yorkshire.

The Living Room will also be putting on a special Heel Appeal fashion event on Saturday March 30 starting at 1pm in association with exclusive shoe boutique Moda in Pelle.

Edward Dugdil, general manager at The Living Room said: “Everyone has shoes lurking at the back of the wardrobe which haven’t been worn for some time. All types and conditions of shoes are welcomed and can be donated at The Living Room during March 2013 – we can give any shoe a new lease of life!”

He added “We hope this initiative will be really popular with our customers. It’s a great chance to de-clutter for a good cause.”
