Two men had to be cut from their car after crashing into trees off one of Leeds’s main roads in an early hours incident.
Firefighters and police were called after the Vauxhall Corsa came off the Stanningley Bypass near the Dawson’s Corner roundabout at about 1.15am yesterday. (Jan 29)
The car had collided with a tree before coming to rest facing the wrong way.
Crews from Stanningley, Leeds and Bradford fire stations cut the doors and roof from the vehicle in a delicate operation that took about an hour.
The two men, thought to be in their late 20s or early 30s, were taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance.
They were believed to have suffered broken bones but were not seriously injured.
