A brother and sister duo have got their sights set on a bright future after taking the silver screen by storm.

Emily and Thomas Lloyd have bagged themselves spots in television adverts that have been beamed into the country’s living rooms.

The duo from Menston, Leeds, are now hoping to become acting stars of the future after they made their debut television debuts.

Emily, 12, recently enjoyed watching herself on the family’s television after she won a place in Cathedral City’s latest advert.

Just weeks after Emily’s appearance her nine-year-old brother followed in his sister’s footsteps and scooped a spot in a mince pie advert for chain Aldi.

Proud mum Karen said: “I was so proud of them.

“It was so weird and surreal seeing them on the television.

“It’s a massive compliment as a parent.”

The siblings are both members of Centre Stage Academy, in Yeadon, and now they are hoping to line up more auditions to cement their acting breakthroughs.

Emily, who is a pupil at Prince Henry’s Grammar School, has just finished filming for a role in a short film called Sophie’s Fortune.

She said: “My friends saw me on the television just after the X Factor and I got loads of texts from them saying that they had seen me.

“It was really funny and I would love to do more. I would love to be an actress when I’m older.” But Emily doesn’t mind sharing the spotlight with her brother now. She added:“I like really seeing my brother on the TV.”

Thomas, who attends Menston Primary, added: “It’s good.

“When I got the part I felt really scared and when it comes on the TV I’m really happy.

“My friends all say how did I get on?”
