Leeds animal charity calls for volunteer van driver assistance

.

.

Animal lovers with a licence to drive a minibus have the chance of signing up to help a charity offer therapy to children with additional needs.

The Donkey Sanctuary in Eccup, Leeds, is on the lookout for a volunteer minibus driver to help transport the youngsters to their donkey assisted therapy sessions.

The driver would be required to drive the bus a few hours a week. He or she would need a PCV- D1 style licence and be qualified in MiDAS.

Centre manager Cathryn Dixon said: “It’s a very rewarding job and a great place to work.

“You’d be helping children with additional needs reach the centre, where they benefit from donkey assisted therapy - riding and grooming and spending time with the donkeys.

“You’d get to enjoy free donkey cuddles and the company of a friendly team who all love working with animals and children.

To volunteer call 0113 2619249. Visit www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk for more about the sanctuary.
