Kinky sex trap trial
A woman who advertised herself as a dominatrix tied a man to his bed naked while her boyfriend robbed his house, a court heard.
Rebecca McDonald, of Westminster Crescent, Halton, Leeds, met the victim on an adult dating website.
The court was told yesterday that McDonald enticed him with promises of role play but while he was tied up, boyfriend Jason Whale ransacked his home. Jewellery, electrical equipment and his computer were taken, the jury heard.
Whale, from Altofts, Wakefield, pleaded guilty at Bradford Crown Court to robbery at an earlier hearing but 25-year-old McDonald denies the charge, claiming she did not know what her boyfriend was planning.
Dressed in a grey trouser suit, McDonald fidgeted uncomfortably in her seat as David McGonigal, prosecuting, told the court how the single man – who cannot be named for legal reasons – had agreed for the defendant to come round to his home for some "tying and teasing".
On October 27, McDonald drove to his home on the outskirts of Halifax, along with Whale who got out of the car at the end of the street, the court heard.
The court heard once outside, she texted her victim saying: "I'm here slave. Open the door, blindfold yourself upstairs and I will follow you up."
The jury heard the man did as he was told and McDonald then went upstairs, putting Velcro shackles on his wrists and ankles.
Then Whale came into the bedroom and pushed the victim's face into the bed. He was then bound with plastic ties and gagged with a dressing gown belt while the couple ransacked his home, the court was told.
Before leaving they freed the man from the shackles but left him bound with the plastic ties, the jury heard.
He managed to break free and saw the couple drive off, then called police.
After her arrest, McDonald told police she had met other men on the internet for sex and had never robbed any of those. She claims Whale went along to protect her.
Mr McGonigal said the defence will argue that Whale followed McDonald into the house without her knowledge. On finding him in the bedroom she claims she left the house and "walked around the block" while Whale stole the goods.
The victim, who is in his late 30s, told the jury he had expected some "fun and role play" but had been left "scared and humiliated".
