Keighley: 90-year-old man crashes into social club

A man aged 90 had to be freed from his car after he lost control and crashed into a social club.

The incident happened at about 10.30pm yesterday at the Bocking Working Mens Club on Halifax Road, Keighley.

Fire crews from Keighley and Howarth attended the incident.

A fire and rescue spokesman who attended the incident said: “There was only one car involved, the driver had lost control and crashed into the building and then bounced back into a lamppost. We extracted him from the passenger side and he was taken to hospital, even though all he wanted to do was to go home and have a cup of tea.”
