Jailed minister, fitnes guru and Big Brother winner come to Leeds
A JAILED former Government minister, a fitness guru and a Big Brother winner will speak in Leeds at an open day looking at the meaning of life.
Jonathan Aitken, Rosemary Conley and Cameron Stout will be at the Alpha Course launch at Leeds Town Hall on October 2 to share their experiences of life and faith.
The Alpha Course is an introduction to Christianity and is behind the 'Does God Exist? Yes, No, Probably' poster campaign in Leeds.
Organiser Chris Frost said: "We felt that holding a Leeds Citywide launch was a great way to bring Christian groups together. But it's also an open invitation to everyone in the city to explore the meaning of life."
In the lead-up to the launch shoppers and workers in Leeds city centre are to be surveyed and asked if they think that God exists.
Jonathan Aitken, a former Tory minister, was jailed for 18 months for perjury in 1999.
Rosemary Conley is the founder of an empire of diet and fitness clubs and Cameron Stout won Big Brother 4 in 2003.
