A woman who joined in a pub glassing attack with her partner on another man as her young son looked on has been jailed
Deborah Fox, 38, was sentenced to two years and nine months over the New Year’s Eve attack. She struck the victim Derek Hancock four times in the head with a pint glass.
Her partner, Kevin Sharp, 37, was given a suspended sentence and 3,200 hours unpaid work over the incident in the Crown, Elizabeth Road, Castleford. Mr Hancock, 52, lost blood from multiple lacerations to his face. One witness described the attack as “horrifying”.
Sharp was arrested later that evening at the couple’s home on Hobart Avenue, Castleford, and Fox handed herself in at a police station.
Fox pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Sharp admitted unlawful wounding.
