Igloo construction on the timetable for Leeds pupils

INSIDE STORY: Joshua Underwood inside an igloo made from plastic milk bottles.

Pupils at Kippax Ash Tree Primary constructed a life-size igloo as part of the school’s Ice Theme Week.

The children used plastic milk bottles to build their unusual creation and also delved into wintry worlds in English, music and art.

Their week of ice-themed learning kicked off with a show by the world-famous Mimika Theatre, which brought to life four landscapes, including the Antarctic, through a mix of puppetry and music.
