Horsforth Trinity and All Saints College graduates celebrate
Graduates from a Horsforth college were flying high by celebrating their degrees in style.
Students from Leeds Trinity & All Saints were awarded their degrees at a ceremony held in the Great Hall at the University of Leeds followed by taking to the skies in a hot air balloon.
And it was a double celebration for Sport, Health, Leisure and Nutrition graduate, Louise Higgins, when she received her first-class degree certificate and the University Armes Prize for the highest undergraduate performance.
Louise said: "Leeds Trinity is a great place to study and my degree is helping me to move onto bigger and better things."
She previously to worked in the finance sector but decided that she wanted a change and went back to university to retrain for a career in the health care profession.
She added: "The enthusiasm and knowledge of the teaching staff at Leeds Trinity combined with my placements with the Leeds and Bradford PCT have helped to reaffirm my decision to become a dietitian, and I've made some good contacts for the future!"
International student, Fides Schreur, flew back from Germany to join her classmates for the celebrations and to collect a Leeds Trinity prize for outstanding performance and the British Psychological Society Prize for the best performance on a BPS-accredited programme.
Back on the Brownberrie Lane campus Leeds Trinity organised a big celebration for the 500 students who have successfully completed their studies.
Graduates, with their friends and family, enjoyed a BBQ and entertainment from a local steel band whilst toasting their success with a glass of champagne.
