53 per cent of grades were either As or Bs – a school record.
Head teacher Steve Jex said he was particularly pleased that, as a specialist science college, all students who applied to do medicine at university had gained places.
"A-levels are extremely demanding and our first-class results have shown our students' commitment to study and the expertise of our specialist staff in delivering their courses," he said.
"I am proud of the achievements of all of Year 13."
