Holbeck: £10,000 boost to youth support

A £10,000 grant is to help young people in Holbeck with issues such as bullying, alcohol, drugs and sexual health.

The council cash will help the Cupboard Project, based at Holbeck youth centre, reach out to more 13 to 19-year-olds through one-to-one support and group activities.

Councillor David Congreve (Lab, Beeston & Holbeck), said: "This cash means the Cupboard can carry out vital work with youngsters. By increasing the numbers of young people using Holbeck youth centre I hope the Cupboard's support will reach an even greater number of young people."
