Halton knife raid on cash delivery driver

Masked knife raiders attacked a cash delivery driver at a post office in Halton.

The driver had just stepped into Green Lane post office in Halton at noon on Thursday when the robbers struck, escaping with cash in a silver Audi driven by a third man.

A car matching its description was found abandoned nearby a short time after.

A police spokeswoman said no one was hurt. A woman at the scene was treated for shock by ambulance staff.
