Guide Dog puppies join fundraising party in Leeds

ADORABLE Guide Dog puppies Jimmy and Jeeves visited a Leeds opticians as staff held a special fundraiser for the charity.

The six-month-old Labrador pups were invited to the Specsavers store in Rothwell to help celebrate its fifth birthday.

Staff held a birthday party with cakes and party games to mark the occasion and raise cash for the Guide Dogs charity.

Margaret Backhouse, volunteer for Guide Dogs Leeds, said: “The proceeds from the specially made birthday cake and cupcakes have raised £150 so far.

“Guide Dogs pups in training, brothers Jimmy and Jeeves stood outside the shop all day, along with their puppy walkers and were quite the local celebrities, posing for photographs for shoppers. The store eventually hopes to raise enough money for Guide Dogs to be able to name their own puppy.”
