The Yorkshire Evening Post Oliver Awards are now successfully underway with dining venues from all over the region sending in entries.
The prestigious awards honour the very best of our restaurants, pubs, cafes and bars.
They were established six years ago and have now become an important part of the thriving dining scene in and around Leeds.
Each year hundreds of businesses enter, hoping to take home one of our sought-after accolades.
Nominations are being made online and will be accepted up until November 21.
The judges’ shortlist will then be announced in the new year and the awards will culminate with a glittering ceremony and dinner at The Centenary Pavilion, Elland Road, Leeds, on Monday, March 10, when the host for the evening will be the popular presenter Jon Hammond.
The awards acknowledge the talent behind the most successful dining venues in Leeds across a huge range of categories, from the best cafe/bar to the cream of our fine dining restaurants.
Editorial director Jeremy Clifford said: “The Oliver Awards play an ever-increasing role in recognising the outstanding venues we have for eating and drinking in and around Leeds.
“I would urge anyone who is proud of their business to enter and be part of an event celebrating the industry’s achievements.
“Despite the challenging financial climate, our restaurants, cafes and bars continue to add to this region’s vitality and success.”
Last year, fledgling ventures and stalwarts of the city were honoured, with a string of local heroes taking home awards after enjoying a glitzy night out in the Centenary Pavillion at Elland Road in Leeds.
Souz Le Nez received the outstanding contribution award, and Anthony’s was the overall winner.
