Pontefract-based YTM Furniture has also helped provide chests of drawers with basin-like fronts and wardrobes with perspex doors to make it easier for people living at the home to see and select items of clothing.

Springfield Healthcare Group chairman Graeme Lee said: "As a family business, we have no aspirations to be the biggest in our sector but we do want to use our experience to be the very best.
"This is reflected by the care we have put into the redevelopment."
Springfield is on Lowther Avenue and first opened in 1967. The changes at the home will create 12 new jobs, taking overall staff numbers above 70.
