Police have released CCTV images of three men they want to identify after a man was beaten unconscious outside a Leeds shop.

The 37-year-old victim was kicked in the head while on the ground during the attack outside Kasa convenience store, in Dewsbury Road, Beeston.

He had been punched over by one of the men following an argument and was then kicked by the other two as he tried to get back up.

PC Stuart Bennett said: “As well as being knocked unconscious for a period of time the victim also received minor head and mouth injuries. This attack could have resulted in much more serious injuries due to him being punched to the floor and kicked in the head.

“I would urge anyone who recognises these men or who has any information that could assist the investigation to contact us immediately.”

The men had pulled up outside the shop in a small white hatchback car, thought to be a Citroen DS3 or DS4 and then drove off down Dewsbury Road towards Leeds city centre after the attack, which happened on in the early hours of April 27.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Bennett at Elland Road via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
