KIND-HEARTED siblings have put pen to paper and written their own children’s book to help youngsters less fortunate than themselves.

Sisters Matilda and Tallulah Moxon, from Lofthouse, have written Is it Bedtime Yet? in a bid to raise some much-needed money for Children in Need.

Budding author Matilda, 12, wrote the story whilst her little sister Tallulah, 10, created the artwork.

The book is a tale about their younger brother Eli, five, who is desperate to go to bed on Christmas Eve so that Santa can pay a visit.

Proud mum Jessica Moxon told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “They originally wrote it for Eli but it was around the time that Children in Need was on television, so it all came together from there.

“They have sold around 150 books so far and Tallulah went out with her dad yesterday and sold 40 more, raising another £125.”

She added: “Matilda wants to be an author so I am proud that she has put something out for people to read.

“They read it at Eli’s school just before they broke up for Christmas and all the children were shouting Is it bedtime yet?, which was great.”
