FOUR friends from Harrogate have built a very cool house that’s the perfect place to chill out.
And it could be all yours for just £205.
Pals Craig Parker, Greg Davies and brothers Carl and Mark Baranovsky took advantage of the winter weather and built an igloo on The Stray before putting it up for sale on eBay to raise money for charity.
Local estate agents Verity Frearson have also added the snowy home to their books.
The online description of the arctic abode lists it as a ‘one bedroom detached house’.
Its ‘key features’ include ‘overlooking The Stray, Grade II Listed (front only), fantastic location, easy access to Sunday league football’.
It also says the 12ft by 8ft room is at risk of ‘chav damage’ and that it was ‘hand built by four handsome Yorkshire men’.
The group of friends were inspired to raise money after seeing Craig battle a rare form of cancer three times.
Craig, 31, had a lung removed and several operations on his ribs and left shoulder during his fight with Ewing’s Sarcoma – a disease where cancer cells attack bones or soft tissue.
He said: “The igloo was just meant to be a laugh.
“But because I’ve suffered from cancer three times now, we thought it would be a good way to raise money for a cancer charity.”
Money raised from the sale will go to Yorkshire Cancer Research.
On going to print, 46 bids had already been placed, taking the current value up to £205.
Bidding will close at 8pm on Thursday. (Jan 24)
