Forward Ladies raise £500 for Jane Tomlinson

A Forward Ladies event has been a huge success, raising £500 for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.

Magna Holdings Ltd, a Wakefield property firm, hosted the evening last week in conjunction with Forward Ladies, the regional ladies non-profit networking organisation, at their newly renovated offices in Horbury.

Around 65 women attended to view fashion and beauty from local firms, network with regional businesswomen, enjoy a buffet and drinks and hear a short speech from Margaret Wood, Chair of First, Wakefield's regional development agency.

A host of regional businesses were involved in the evening, including Christie Lea of Batley who brought along a sample of their latest ranges, and Harmony beauty salons in Horbury who were offering manicures.

All the businesses involved donated raffle prizes, which raised almost 200 for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal Fund and Magna Holdings have topped the donation up to 500.
