Firefighters are at the scene of a major blaze which has devastated a furniture store in Harrogate.
Emergency services have been battling through the night to dampen the flames, spotted by a passer-by at 2am.
A spokesman for the fire service said the blaze has caused “extensive damage” to a furniture warehouse and joiners on Watson Lane, Norwood.
At its height, the fire was so fierce that five engines, an aerial ladder platform and a water bowser, were called to the scene.
The blaze was brought under control by 5am but officers remain on site, damping down what’s left of the building.
The cause is being investigated.
