Fears south Leeds families are being ‘let down’ by recycling push

Have your say

Council bosses have been accused of ‘letting down’ thousands of families who want to take part in a groundbreaking recycling scheme.

Residents in Rothwell claim they are faced with having to pay for ‘green’ bin liners or drop out of the successful food waste recycling scheme after it was claimed bin liner supplies have run out for a second time.

The collections were started in the south Leeds community nearly three years ago when fortnightly bin collections were introduced.
