Relatives of Sir Jimmy Savile say there was no misspelling on his headstone, contrary to media reports.
Following the unveiling of the grave last Thursday at Woodlands Cemetery in Scarborough, complete with verse and etchings of the Leeds born star, an alleged misspelling became the focus of news.
But today Jimmy’s niece Amanda McKenna, of Kirkstall, said: “There are a few spelling variations of the word chieftan, as well as chieftain and chieften. This debacle has left some very special people, stressed and upset. We are not changing a thing.”
