Ex-Leeds United star Danny Mills is getting back on the road to prepare for a gruelling charity challenge after suffering a bout of gastroenteritis.
The former Whites defender had to postpone the Archie Mills Memorial Challenge after becoming ill.
Danny lost over half a stone in just two days from the illness.
But he is now better and has rescheduled the start date for Sunday, October 7.
Danny will cycle from Leeds to London and then complete the London Triathlon.
Danny played more than 100 games for the Elland Road team.
He and his wife Lisa lost their son Archie to spina bifida 10 years ago.
Danny went on to become a patron of Shine, which supports more than 10,000 babies, children and adults living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
He has since raised tens of thousands of pounds for the worthy cause and hopes the challenge will raise awareness and even more cash for Shine.
Danny will begin his challenge at Elland Road at 5am on Sunday and people are invited to wave him off.
