A new development of affordable homes in east Leeds has been completed.
The houses are part of the Parkside project, a new development in Seacroft put together by Jephson Housing Association.
They have worked alongside developer Bellway on the 23 three-bedroom houses that are now available to rent to people who work in the area.
The homes have also been part funded by just over half a million pounds from the Homes and Communities Agency.
Jephson North is also working on a second development with Bellway, made up of 12 new houses at Wellersely Grange in Pudsey.
Stuart Shore, regional director at Jephson Homes, added: “We are delighted that we have been able to work with the Homes and Communities Agency and Bellway to provide these new homes.
“It is tremendous to be able to welcome our first residents and their positive reactions show how much this type of housing is needed.
“I would like to thank Leeds City Council for all their help in making Parkside work. We hope it will nurture a strong community base for many years to come.”
Councillor Richard Lewis, Leeds City Council executive board member with responsibility development and economy, said: “I am delighted that this new development will be coming to Seacroft.
“Regeneration of this kind is vital to improving inner city areas for local communities.
“The council are committed to delivering widespread regeneration and we will continue to work to ensure local residents are provided with opportunities for people to live in good quality homes.”
