Police have released an e-fit image of a man they want to trace following a racially-aggravated assault on a woman in Leeds city centre.
The YEP reported earlier this week that George James, 19, from Chapel Allerton, was left bruised and swollen after being punched in the face and subjected to racist abuse as she walked home from work in the city centre. She had to go to hospital for treatment to a facial injury after the attack, on Saturday April 26 at about 6.30pm. Now police have issued an image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.
He is described as white and aged about 30 and was wearing a blue top.
PC Katie Allan, who is investigating the incident, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who knows the identity of the man shown in the e-fit image or who has any information that could assist us in tracing him.”
Anyone with any information should contact PC 4451 Allan at Killingbeck Police Station via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
