A DRIVER was seriously injured after his BMW Z3 careered off Park Road at Pontefract and ended up in a ditch.
Police and paramedics were alerted at 9am today (Jan 25) to the incident, which happened near junction 32 of the M62.
Police said the driver suffered serious, but not life threatening injuries.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance landed at the scene, but a decision was made to transfer the man to hospital by road ambulance.
Park Road was closed in both directions while police dealt with the incident.
