Intensive training sessions for both the York and London Marathons are not affecting Leeds solicitor Tom Jackson’s workload.
He trains at 5.30am each morning and runs at least 60 miles a week, ahead of his double challenge for 2013.
The real estate lawyer has signed up to do both marathons - and was one of the first to register following the announcement of the first ever York Marathon.
He is raising cash for Marie-Curie nurses and intends to raise at least £2,000. His fundraising efforts will provide ten nights of care for a Marie-Curie nurse.
Tom, 28, who lives in the city centre, and works for law firm Walker Morris said: “I cover around 60 miles a week, going along Kirkstall Road, the city centre and canal. I signed up for the York marathon yesterday and now have two marathons this year.
“Marie Curie nurses do a vital job in caring for people in their own homes and I am keen to raise as much money as possible to support this vital work.”
