David buys business coaching franchise

The Alternative Board (TAB), the Harrogate-based peer-support and business coaching organisation, has sold its second Leeds franchise.

The North Leeds area has been bought by David McCartney, who has run public and family-owned businesses over 26 years.

With particular expertise in sales and marketing, operations and strategic planning, Mr McCartney has specialist knowledge of the b2b distribution sector and the food and chemical industries. He is a former managing director of distribution firm Fiske Food Ingredients and CEO of Nandi Proteins, the technology spin-out from Heriot-Watt University.

He plans to invite local businesses to attend 'taster' board meetings so they can see how TAB, which offers help and advice to owner-managers, works.
