Crowds turn out for 2012 Middleton Park Craft, Flower and Produce Show

Hordes of families and keen gardeners turned out for the Middleton Park Craft, Flower and Produce Show, in Leeds.

The fourth annual show at Middleton Park attracted large crowds and saw trophies and certificates awarded for baking, flowers, crafts, art, photography and homegrown fruit and vegetables.

The event, which was the park’s biggest yet, also had plenty on offer for all the family, with pony rides, hen racing, a miniature railway and a steel band in attendance.

Funded by Leeds City Council’s inner south area committee, the annual show was organised by the Friends of Middleton Park and backed by a number of community organisations, including Groundwork Leeds.

Visit: www.fomp.co.uk for details on the park’s upcoming events.

Pictured is judge Tony Fitzgerald casting his eye over the blooms.
