Crossgates Carnival 2007: Line up promises to be a hit with revellers
The programme for this year's Carnival extravanganza has been finalised with clown and puppet shows on the bill as well as Irish dancing.
Saturday's event at Manston Park (11am-3pm) will also feature a gym display, a singing group and a performance by local Rainbows, Brownies & Guides.
Carnival coordinator Karen Gray said: "This year is going to bigger and better than ever - we have more displays, more actvities and more fun lined up.
More uniformed groups are joining in this year than ever before. New for this year is the circus skills area where all ages can have a go at juggling and diabalo for themselves.
"The clown and puppets are back by popular demand. We expect it to be a great fun filled day for all the family. And of course its all free!"
Phillippa Driscoll, display and craft activity organiser, said: "There'll be something there for eveybody - for parents and children of all ages. We're taking over more of the park this year and have more displays from local groups showing their skills to the community"
