Cross Gates shoppers top up their green credentials
Hundreds of Cross Gates shoppers topped up their green credentials by supporting their local shopping centre's recycling day.
The event, at Crossgates Shopping Centre, saw shoppers invited to recycle their plastics.
Green bins were provided, which, by the end of last Friday's (APRIL 4) event, were full of recyclables.

To give the event a fun theme, centre bosses, along with Leeds Paper Recycling and Radio Aire, ran a special competition.
Entrants were invited to put their details inside a plastic bottle to have a chance of winning 1,000 to spend at the centre.
A centre spokeswoman said: "Overall the event was really well received and loads of people turned up. The competition attracted loads of attention and there were hundreds of entry forms.
"As a company, we positively encourage locals business and residents to
put their waste to good use and reduce the growing cost and pollution it takes to produce the goods again.
"It has been a national endeavor to encourage people to recycle and Crossgates hopes to promote recycling issues as part of a major push to making their town a greener place to live."
