Cross Gates music festival aims to strike a chord

Organisers of Oxjam Crossgates have announced updated line up times ahead of Saturday's musical extravaganza. Click here for more details.

Oxjam Crossgates is being staged on Saturday, October 13 (2pm-10pm) at St James Church on Church Lane.

All profits will go towards Oxfam's work in countries around the world.

The new approximate running order (subject to change) for Oxjam is as follows:

Heather Woodhead, organiser of Oxjam Crossgates, said: "If you enjoy music you'll enjoy Oxjam Crossgates. By buying a ticket, not only will you be having a relaxing and entertaining day, you'll be helping Oxfam to work with other organisations to overcome poverty and suffering around the world.

Ms Woodhead added: "We have children and adults performing a variety of styles. Something to suit everyone. Come & go as you please or stay all day."

Organisers have also revealed a special green guitar called Jammy will also be making an appearance at the event.

Music fans will be invited to play and be photographed with Jammy as the Oxjam Great Green Guitar Relay.
