Organisers of Oxjam Crossgates have revealed close on 900 was raised from the eight hour musical extravagannza held at St James Church on Church Lane on Saturday, October 13.
The fundraising total will go towards Oxfam's work in countries around the world.
The Oxjam line up included performances Rebekah Nunns, Alan Smith, Heather Woodhead, Mike Rignall, St James Choir, Sharon Brown, Tim Knight, St James Music Group, Helen Wright, Karen Gray, Esther Arens, Janet Richardson, Russ Hughes, David Kidman, Gerry McNeice, Stanley Accrington & The Duncan McFarlane Acoustic band
A special green guitar called Jammy also made an appearance at the event. Music fans will be invited to play and be photographed with Jammy as the Oxjam Great Green Guitar Relay.
Heather Woodhead, Oxjam Crossgates organiser and singer said: " I was worried that because we had so many acts on we would struggle to get everything into the eight hours but we did it.
"One of the best things was raising 900 for charity, another was getting the chance to play the famous guitar Jammy. In fact I enjoyed it all so much I might have to organise another music festival next year!"
Philippa Driscoll, bar organiser and assistant guider for 2nd Manston Brownies, said: "It was fantastic to see all the school children take part. It takes a lot of courage to show off your skills in front of a church-full of adults, and they all performed beautifully."
Gerry McNeice said: "I thought it was a well organized event, attentive and appreciative audience. Considering we were in a huge cavernous church it felt a very warm place to be. A great line up and I wished we could have been there earlier to see the rest of the show."
Alison Battye, flautist and Mini Oxjam organiser said: " It was a really friendly event which gave children a chance to perform in front of an audience for the first time. The school children were really excited by our mini-oxjam, enjoying each other's performances and waiting with great excitement to see who had got through to the 'final'."
