Councillor Keith Parker (Lab, Kippax & Methley) told Kippax Today:"This is hugely popular scheme and it was a great pleasure to welcome it back to Methley Cricket Club for another year. It has again proved to be a great success and we hope that it will continue to be so in the future.

"It really is a fantastic coaching course, not only for the kids, but also for parents who want a safe an secure activity for their kids to be involved in during the half term break.

"It provides youngsters with the opportunity to be active, have fun and develop their cricketing skills through the guidance of top Yorkshire coaches like Arnie."

Councillor James Lewis (Lab, Kippax & Methley) added: "The scheme increases in popularity each year which is a compliment in itself. Its success can also be measured by the increase in the numbers of kids in this area being selected for the county's cricket academies. It is a great benefit to aspiring young cricketers and, who knows, perhaps it will uncover some Yorkshire players of the future!"
