Concern for missing Huddersfield man who needs medication

SLEEPING ROUGH: Police fear for Alan Holts safety.

SLEEPING ROUGH: Police fear for Alan Holts safety.

Police say they “extremely concerned” for the safety of a West Yorkshire man who has been missing from home for almost a month.

Alan Holt, 40, went missing from his home in Dalton, Huddersfield, on September 27 and was last spotted in the Sandal Grange area of Wakefield on October 18.

Police have received information that has led officers to believe Mr Holt is sleeping rough in the area near the Snooty Fox public house in Kirkgate, Wakefield.

Mr Holt, who needs regular medical attention is 5ft 8ins tall , is thin and is white. He has black hair and is balding. He has a has a tattoo on his left shoulder that reads ‘On Fire’.

Inspector Steph Wiseman of Kirklees police said: “Due to the time that Alan has been missing and apparently sleeping rough, he may now have an unkempt beard and a dishevelled appearance. I am appealing for anyone with information on Alan’s whereabouts, or anyone who sees him, to contact the police immediately.” Call PC 5188 Karen Truelove at the Kirklees police Missing Person Unit via 101.
