Clinics target Leeds preganncy hotspots
NEW clinics have been set up to improve sexual health for the under 25s in Leeds.
At the new weekly drop-in sessions in Richmond Hill, Middleton and Kentmere free and confidential advice as well as condoms, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing and tests for sexually transmitted infections are on offer.
The clinics are staffed by a nurse and a healthcare assistant and no appointments are needed.
Kim Taylor, from the Contraception and Sexual Health Service, said: "The areas where we're introducing these services have high teenage pregnancy rates. If these sessions are successful we may look at rolling the clinics out to other areas across the city."
They are 2pm-5pm at Middleton Health Centre on Tuesdays; Kentmere Children's Centre on Thursdays and Richmond Hill Children's Centre on Fridays.
