Charles and Camilla 'Vote for Strictly favourite'

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are avid Strictly Come Dancing fans who phone in to vote for their favourite contestant, co-presenter Tess Daly has revealed.

She claimed the royal couple regularly watch the hit Saturday night BBC1 ballroom dancing show.

"I love the fact that the Royal Family are at home not just watching but ringing up to vote," she told Celebs On Sunday magazine.

Former S Club 7 singer Stevens and professional partner Vincent Simone made second place in last year's show, pipped in the final by Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup.

Daly has previously suggested that the Prince wanted to tango on Strictly.

"When he demonstrated, he raised one leg and he had rather good form. He would be a good ballroom dancer," she has said.

"We had a little talk about dancing and I think he is a fan of the show."

In October, Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood gave the Duchess a lesson in the cha-cha when she visited a primary school in central London.

He scored her a perfect 10 for her impromptu performance of the Latin dance.

"She kept rhythm, her timing was excellent, her footwork was excellent - she has the personality for it," the choreographer said at the time.
