Charity is looking for Leeds runners to raise cash

Fundraisers at Marie Curie Cancer Care are looking for runners in West Yorkshire to take to the streets of the North East on Sunday, October 5, and take part in this year's Great North Run.

People who agree to take up the challenge and raise money for the charity will be provided with sponsor forms and a running pack and will have access to Marie Curie Cancer Care's hospitality tent during the event.

Area fundraising manager for Marie Curie Cancer Care, Brian Curran, said: "Cancer is the UK's biggest killer claiming 423 lives every day.

"By raising sponsor money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, people will be helping us to give terminally ill patients in West Yorkshire the choice to spend their last days in the comfort of their own home."
