An intriguing insight into the changing face of Harrogate’s spa industry during the 20th century is being given a New Year revamp.
Staff at the town’s Royal Pump Room Museum are bringing new items and outfits on display ahead of its reopening on Saturday. (Jan 12)
The Harrogate for Health and Happiness exhibition, which was staged last year, will continue once the museum’s doors are open. But new items on show will include a 1930s Art Deco swimming costume emblazoned with seagulls along with an Edwardian bodice .
Harrogate Museums and Arts’ exhibitions and collections assistant Nic Dyke, said: “The exhibition has already proved extremely popular.”
