A bouncer was hit with a glass bottle and two customers were assaulted in random attacks at a Leeds lap dancing club.
The incident happened after a group of men walked into Silks on Sovereign Street at about 4am – shortly before closing time.
Detective Constable Jacqui Wilson, the investigating officer for British Transport Police (BTP), said: “Two members of the group then assaulted two customers and a member of door staff in the club. One of the attackers hit the doorman over the back of the head with a glass bottle; luckily he only sustained a graze to his neck.”
A 23-year man from Harehills was arrested in the city centre a short while after the incident took place. He has been released on police bail.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to find over the incident, which happened on December 4.
Det Con Wilson added: “This was a completely unprovoked, violent assault on three men, two who were enjoying a night out, and one who was simply doing his job.
“I’d urge anyone who recognises the man featured in the CCTV image, or has any information about the attack, to come forward and assist police in this investigation. We would also like to speak to the two men who were also attacked, as they left the club before police arrived.”
Anyone with information should call BTP on 0800 405040, quoting log B3/NEA of December 16 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
