Catherine is patron of West Yorkshire-based cancer charity the Laura Crane Trust and made a whirlwind visit to their Huddersfield offices to help with the film-themed calendar.

Trust manager Pam Thornes said: "We were absolutely delighted when Catherine called to say she would be in Yorkshire over the weekend and was available for the photoshoot.

"Catherine was more than happy to take part in a number of shots, including Top Gun, Full Monty and a tongue-in-cheek Dr Who shot with our Youth Ambassador, Huddersfield Giants' Andy Raleigh."

The charity had to call on supporters for help to arrange the photos at short notice, including the Aston Martin Owner's Club who provided the cars for the Bond photo and the Giants players who took part at short notice.

This year's calendar raised over 8,000 for the charity. Only 2,000 copies of next year's will be available, costing 7 each. Pre-orders are being taken via www.lauracranetrust.org/store.
