A GLITTERING parade of floats and hundreds of spectacular costumes are set to bring Caribbean style sparkle to the streets of Leeds this Bank Holiday Monday.

Preparations for the 2014 Leeds West Indian Carnival were set to continue today (Friday August 22) with the annual Carnival King and Queen Show at West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Costumes from across the UK were set to be judged in the contest for the prestigious Carnival King and Queen 2014 titles and the honour of leading Monday’s carnival parade.
